Interplay between Quadrupolar and Magnetic Interactions in 5<i>d</i><sup>1</sup> Double Perovskite Ba<sub>2</sub>MgReO<sub>6</sub> under Pressure

We measured the electrical resistivity, AC magnetic susceptibility, and specific heat of cubic double perovskite Ba2MgReO6 under pressure. The application pressure leads to a gradual increase in transition temperature canted antiferromagnetic order, while quadrupolar order is suppressed above ?5 GPa, at which collinear state appears. obtained unit cell volume-temperature phase diagram for compound as well related compounds suggests that exists near boundary between noncollinear with multipole decrees freedom.
